An evening on Chilliwack Lake

Located about 60k south of Chilliwack and about a 2 hr drive from Vancouver is Chilliwack Lake Provincial Park.

I figured this would be an ideal spot to try out my friends new boat that we were picking up on the way out.

Although the Lake allows motorized boats and the area is just loaded with weekend warriors for some reason the Lake is usually pretty quite and I suppose the view isn't half bad either.

The sun was starting to duck in behind the mountains so we decided to call it a day and headed back towards the beach.

The park does have camping and there are quite a few recreational sites along the way that are able to accomidate all kinds of vehicles but they are usually extremely busy. To learn more about the park check out http://www.env.gov.bc.ca/bcparks/explore/parkpgs/chilliwack_lk/
